Red Patch Vest
The patch vest is an optional, but very popular, uniform piece that can be worn by Scouts. Patch vests give the Scouts a place to display previously earned awards that can no longer be worn on the official uniform and/or other activity awards and patches that are not intended for the official uniform. Pack 148 and individual dens typically gives out patches and other awards for activities such as campouts and derbies. Patches can also be earned attending council activities such as Day Camp. These patches are not allowed on the official uniform but can be worn on this supplemental vest. The patch vest should not be worn during formal occasions such as receiving rank awards or the Blue and Gold banquet. For proper patch placement, download a copy of the uniform inspection sheets: You will need Acrobat Reader to view and print the inspection sheets. This free software may be downloaded from Adobe. The above item(s) can be purchase locally at the Scout Shop or on-line at ScoutStuff.org. |
